Compression socks: Expensive means better?

Compression socks are getting more and more popular, but can be pretty expensive. I have tested products from different price ranges to see if more money gives you better products.

Compression socks are seen on many running events and even hobby runner are using them often. As such socks can cost 50€ and more, the question is if you need to pay such high prices or if cheaper products deliver comparable results.

Why compression socks?

But first things first: Do you need really compression socks and how do they help you?
The truth is that you do not need compression socks. Your body is naturally able to run longer distances and our ancestors in the stone age survived without supporting socks.
Also the medical value is disputed. The compression does support you blood flow
